Title: custom soarer's converters on Ebay?
Post by: h2gofast on Mon, 12 January 2015, 08:01:26
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Soarers-Converter-Adapter-for-IBM-Model-F-122-Keyboard-Remapping-Macros-NKR-/271644933588?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item3f3f4cbdd4

I have no affiliation with this.  Has anyone tried one of these and do they work.  It doesn't look like there's enough room in either end  for a teensy.

He is a fellow geekhacker here is his thread about these https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=64670.0 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=64670.0)

And they don't actually have a traditional teensy inside.

I use one with my F122, and I haven't had any problems with it.  I've been able to remap keys and create macros with it.  If you contact him directly through the board, it'll be 10% less than the eBay price.

Indeed, I have a PS2 one from the same seller that works fine (remaps, FN layers, haven't tried macro's yet but I don't see why they wouldn't work if the other functions works well).
