What things scare you? It could be an everyday mundane thing, a movie, or even something completely unreasonable.
Heart aneurysms scare me. The fact the you could live a completely normal and healthy life, eating right and exercising every day, and a tiny near-undetectable bubble can form on your heart that is just waiting at any given random moment to burst and kill you.
And larger than average spiders. Especially if they jump. :'(

When the Internet is down for more than 2 hours..
I get the sinking feeling in the back of my mind.. that the world's ended, skynet has risen, and it's all not-coming-back..
But.. then I go into my post-apoc-mode... and think of ways to survive... that's a good 2 hours before the power comes back..
and if it doesn't come back for more than 5 hours... I fire up the car, and throw down an extension cable..
and if it doesn't come back overnight... I drag the generator outside..

altitude and giant hogweeds.

There's all sorts of spiders overs here, jumping, bird-eating, fatally poisonous, you name it. I just don't like them for reasons documented elsewhere.
That scientists are fiddling with matter in ways that might spontaneously turn us all into dust frightens me.
We exist not, tenuously, perhaps, but we exist. Struggling to get to work each day, struggling to decide between open group buys, but we exist.
And everything might be terminated by one scientist working at CERN or wherever, who pushes the wrong button, or forgets to take his shoes off before entering a sterile area.

For some reason as I get older I have some serious anxiety issues when the kids get sick. It is very odd and I can't explain it.

hmmm... well yea.. increase the time you spend with "any-thing" human or otherwise, you bond chemically...
I suppose caring for ones' offspring fall under a-positive-addiction..
When my P4 northwood 4.0ghz burned out.... I became teary..... even though it was replaced 2 days later...
