Title: Just what are these switch sensors?
Post by: berserkfan on Fri, 16 January 2015, 08:29:37
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-200-Cherry-4708-A-A-Switches-Keyboards-Sensors-T40233-/351287670075?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51ca60753b

I find them kinda interesting. They don't look like keyboard switches to me.

Always wondering about the optical switch keyboard thing. Haven't heard much about them.

All my google searches have just come up with this post and the ebay links. Not sure what I'm even looking at...

They look like they're just PCB edge to SIP connectors. Nothing to do with keyboard "sensors" at all from what I can tell.

I think someone just happened to put those edge to SIP connectors in that Cherry box, and that is how Team International found them; they thought they had something and threw it up on ebay.

This look like the slots that accepts SNES cartridges.  :P
