Mostly here to lurk due to my n00bian status, but thought I'd say hello anyway.
I enjoy a good "thock" as much as the next guy and I am currently enjoying a good feeling oneness with my cup rubbers.

Welcome to GH!!!
gotta post and interact to get rid of that noobian status right? lol
HHKB? FC660C? Realforce?

Realforce. And while it's easily the nicest keyboard I've laid hands on, I still can't help but get sucked into the loop of "should I silence mod?", "should I go uniform weight instead?", "which colour / weight combo will best suit my office vs home typing needs"
Thank you for the welcome and also, what is happening to me?

The correct answer tends to be one of each. But not recommended

Welcome to Geekhack!
Variable RealForce is great if you just touch type. Not so good for gaming, as you would tend to have your hands in a different position which does not take advantage of the variable weighting.
What is happening to you? Are you falling down the rabbit hole? Are you tempted by all the (sometimes literally) shiny things?
Probably :p

Welcome to GH! I will join you guys soon in the Topre world.

I bought the keyboard with touch typing in mind, and more specifically I thought it would suit my dainty pinky fingers. Turns out my pinky's are pretty strong in the topre world.
I also do a good deal of programming where I tend to stray from proper touch typing form, which is still fine but the accidental presses while resting my fingers get me every so often. I think I'm still adjusting to the higher actuation along with the light touch.
That being said, it's still more than adequate for actual typing but the uniform switches are looking more and more attractive.
Obviously I should just own two.

Get two - or better, get three - variable, 55g uniform and 45g uniform :p

Sometimes I wonder if these Topre preachers don't have shares into the Topre company, haha. They sell Topre to everyone!

Talking to all the new comers about Topre since most of them are mechanical keyboards virgins would be a good way to lobby for the Topre company! :p
I see through your confidence trick Rowdy!

Well letting the lobby in GH would make it not such an awesome forum anymore I'm afraid. :-X
