if i put my nose up to the keyboard and smell it, there's an unpleasant smell. anyone know what this is?

no but im afraid it might be harmful to me through prolonged exposure considering i sit in front of it every day and inhale right above it.

does it smell electrical? like something got fried?

I remember there being a thread here somewhere about a g80 that smelled like formaldehyde...  does it smell like that?

forgot to ask. Is your M10 new, out of the box? That could just be the new keyboard smell. I suppose like most things that will go away in short order.

i'm not sure what formaldehyde smells like and yes it is new out of the box, but it still smells a little odd.

Yea new keyboard smell. There is a bunch of stuff inside the case that will out gas a little at first. On top of that when they wrap it up it tends to concentrate it as well. So give it a bit and it should stop smelling strange.

EDIT: Forgot to add their should not be anything in there that will hurt you.
