Although I love my Leopold FC660C, one thing that bugs me about it is how the modifier keys sound a bit to sharp and loud. It's mainly the upstroke bounce that's making the shartp clattering noise, and I know making Topre keys more quiet is more difficult than with Cherry MX, but if you guys have suggestions, I'd love to give it a shot.

Ive read/asked quite a bit about lubing+silencing topre switches before I got my 660c. As with lubing, it seems quite a few members here suggest using krytox to lube the switches. For silencing the switches (including mods), the two methods that frequent here are dental bands and soft landing pads from EK. The flaw with dental bands is the fact that the switch stroke is shorten while it does its job of silencing the board. Landing pads on the other hand is the preferred choice once you iron the pad before using it.
Im not heavily experienced with topre boards but you can easily find what you are looking for if you use the search function on GH, several people have asked/discussed this very topic.
Good luck! ;)

I just used some cheap garage door grease I had lying around. Works fine.

How long did you have it for? I'd try lubing it.

It's only the upstroke that bothers me. So does that mean lubing it would be the best solution?

i would lube the stabilizer bars and maybe install landing pads
