Hehe.. Yeah, I have done that too, too many times.

Was this... a magazine.. of the ........ variety ?
They don't count as books, even if you read the articles....

Books make me sleepy.

I wish I could still read , used to be able to devour a 600pages book in one day .
Nowadays A Song of Ice and Fire is sitting on my desk for more than a year and I haven't read half of it.
Screens distraction is too strong ...

I had to work back up to it. Grad school completely stole all desire to ever read again after reading 1-3k pages a week. Then I slowly started reading for fun again and forgot how much I missed it.

After I hit 60, I got to the place where I could not go on past a certain point. I can feel it when it comes.
Very frustrating, when I page ahead and see that there are only 4 more pages in the chapter, but I know I can't get there.
Getting old sucks, in many ways, although it is rewarding in many others.
PS - Did you notice that I was able to quote you? Perhaps because it was at the beginning and very short.

I try to read to the end of the chapter.
If the next chapter has only a few pages, I'll usually read that too.
Very rarely do I get to a point where I HAVE to read the next chapter, regardless of the time and how long the chapter is.
I generally read at night in bed, so if there is a cliff-hanger one evening it gives me something to look forward to before I sleep the next night.

For fiction, since I only get my books from russian websites (arrgh).. I'm don't get upset if I don't finish them..
I read 2 chapters each from the beginning, middle, and end..
That's usually how I read every book, unless it's SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....
