Post by: Bromono on Tue, 27 January 2015, 19:27:25
I am buying a surface pro and was wondering would it have enough juice to power a full size keyboard (Red Scarf 3 when it gets in)

If a tablet couldn't power a keyboard, I don't want to live in this world anymore.
So yes, a tablet could power a keyboard. Almost anything can do that.

Just wanted to make sure. I know Ipads have problems. But the surface pro has dedicated usb ports.

Huh. Never knew the iPad had problems like that.
Yeah, I am pretty certain that a Surface would do just fine. I know some have used keyboards with Android tablets before.

I've had several boards hooked up to my Surface Pro without issues. And I run my HHKB / trackball daisy chained without an issue.

I've used my original SP with Poker, crappy rubber domes, hubs, etc. on battery or AC with no issues. Battery life even seems unaffected even with a few LEDs.
