Title: HI there!
Post by: danrulz98 on Sat, 31 January 2015, 03:44:06
I'm a silly person, so don't take me too seriously ;)

Always looking for answers I couldn't find by searching, hopefully I can have something to contribute at some point.

I've used many keyboards, I know what I like and I have a hard time using anything else.

I've had some strange keyboards too, like one of Cherry's own that used ML switches... which are designed for laptops! Where is my laptop with ML mechanical switches??

Do I really have to do the captcha and "USB" for every post?

Welcome to Geekhack!

So, which keyboard/s do you like?

And no, the Captcha will disappear after 10 posts, I think.

Welcome to GH!

Do you have a mech board right now?

At home I use a 10-keyless CMStorm keyboard with Cherry Mx Blue switches. Cooler Master was selling them at Quakecon :) I rather like it but it's a bit annoying sometimes to be 10-keyless,so I recently bought a Dell AT101W that I posted a thread about.
At work, I convinced them to buy a Corsair K60 with Mx Reds. I work in close proximity to the boss so a loud keyboard isn't acceptable. It's a nice keyboard, but it was one that was a customer return to Fry's so it has issues once in a while. I'm not a fan of the function keys being exceptionally garbage rubber dome switches.
I had a Rosewill keyboard with Mx Browns, that I really really liked, but the usb port broke. Then the Cherry keyboard with ML switches, its a compact unit so I use it in places that call for that, but overall the feel is comparable to a high quality scissor strut keyboard (apple/lenovo/higher end dell laotops) and the layout is weird.

You could get a separate numpad ;)

And my boss doesn't mind my noisy keyboard - he knows when I am working :))
