Title: Greetings

Hello GH members. Decided to register after lurking here for a few months, learning about mechanical keyboards. Got myself a QFU MX Red. It kinda feels too soft though.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Not many people seem to have QFR (I assume it is QFR) these days, or at least don't admit to it :p

I have a QFR (MX blacks) and QFS (MX greens).  Great keyboards, neither of them has missed a beat.

Maybe MX blacks might suit you better - they are still linear, but somewhat stiffer springs.

QuickFire Ultimate.

Yeah, I suppose MX Black would suit me better. I keep bottoming out on reds no matter how "soft" I try to press on the keys.

Ah, the Quickfire Ultimate!  I keep forgetting about half the keyboards CM make :))

I have a CM Trigger somewhere, broken, sort of.

Of course there is nothing wrong with bottoming out ;)

Have you considered O-rings?  They reduce the travel distance slightly (depending on how thick they are), but do go some way towards cushioning the downstroke and reducing bottoming out sound.
