Long time lurker here. Figured I'd finally make the plunge. GH is the place to go when you're looking for detailed information about keyboards. I currently own a HHKB Type S, Leopold 660C and Black RF 87U 55g. Just placed an order with EK for some soft landing pads and hoping to do the silent mod on the Leopold this weekend.

Welcome to Geekhack!

A Topre fan, I assume :)

I like my HHKB, but I'd also like to try a 55g Topre board at some stage, as most of my other boards have stiff springs.

Have you got a preference for any one of your keyboards in particular?

Hey Rowdy :)

Yes, I'm a big fan of topre. As for my favorite board, it's really hard to tell. My 55g has a satisfactory "punchiness" to it that the other boards just can't touch. But I certainly wouldn't use it for sustained typing as my fingers tend to get tired after a while. For long periods of typing, nothing compares to my HHKB Type-S. The buttery feel of HHKB just feels so natural and I'm a huge fan of the layout.

As for my 660C, I'll be modding this week in hopes that I can get it close to the Type-S. If not, I may have to sell it off as it's currently unused :(

One of my first thoughts when I got my HHKB was that it was so smooth to type on, the words just flowed out of it and I just wanted to keep typing!

Seems to be a common theme :)
