A couple of years ago there were a couple of samplers that went on tour.

Whoever has them might be convinced to send them out again.

The ones you've already seen are probably the best you're going to get. The most common switches you'd find in every vendor's store would be Red, Brown, Black and Blue. The sampler I got only had those four options, so the others you mentioned sound like they would be better.

I have a MAX Keyboard 8 switch sampler - I'd only recommend that one if you're at all interested in MX Clear, White or Grey. You could also purchase the MAX 4 switch tester & buy individual switches (for instance, clear, white or grey) to test them out. I'm sure that isn't cost effective, but you're able to do that if you like. MAX switch samplers come unassembled so you need to install each switch in to the base yourself. This lets you be in charge of your switch orientation and lets you swap switches if you like in the future.

I believe you can also do that with the WASD switch tester but I'm not 100% sure because I do not own one.

Those readily testers would be fine for what you want. There's also a pretty comprehensive tester one Taobao that includes stuff like Nixdorfs

Just buy a switch tester. There's a few to choose from and they're all essentially the same. WASD's one is probably a good option (the one with a steel mount).
