It started 3 black Fridays ago when I got a QFR with MX Cherry Blacks as my first Mechanical Keyboard... Since then I've caught the itch. That QFR is now rocking Vortex Double Shot Black PBT keycaps as well as the TechKeys Dice/roulette/poker sets. I now have a Poker II on the way as well as a granite keycap set. I hang out in #geekhack on IRC and have been a long time lurker. Finally decided to register to be able to join group buys and potentially use the classifieds in the future.
I type ~110wpm and I just love keyboards.
I've also been hunting for a Model M or other vintage boards at the flea market/thrift store/goodwill/craigslist with no success. Found an M13 on eBay and tried to drive 2 hours for it but somebody snagged it out from under my nose. Anyway, that's all for now. Looking forward to chatting and being nerdy with you all from this point forward.

Welcome to GH!
Hunting can be frustrating but when it pays off, it pays off!
Happy Keyboarding!

suuuuuuup doooooood
it was quite an adventure trying to decide what my favorite switch would be....
you happen to choose my end-game switch, although I haven't tried a few switches yet...however, after reading many reviews and such on here, i don't think i need to look any further.
anyways, kudos friend

I'm pretty set in terms of what I want in the Keyboard world right now except a few granite pieces/kits. I got a set of blanks to make up for my lack of a mod kit so that will tide me over for the time being. I also probably need a numpad at some point. :p
Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'll see you around!

Welcome to Geekhack!
QFR MX black unite! Very nice keyboard - mine is still going strong after nearly 2 years! Although not full use during those two years, it does get swapped out from time to time.
Have patience in your search for a Model M - they are out there, and if you are in the right place at the right time you could snag a real bargain!
