Hi, I'm Wilba.
I only recently got into mech keyboards, although I've used them before on original hardware which is considered vintage now... :D
Currently clacking away on a Model M I just picked up last week, also on the desk is a Filco Majestouch TKL with browns.
I guess two keyboards now makes me a collector.
I am addicted to making stuff with electronics, especially designing PCBs, so I've teamed up with jackhumbert to design the Planck and Atomic PCBs, which will feature SMD assembly (including the microcontroller) and driving all switch LEDs in parallel with brightness control, just for lulz.
If anyone has an idea that requires a PCB to be designed, let me know.

Welcome! You seem like you'd fit in very well here!
(Also, I've been waiting on the Planck/Atomic PCB for ages! Camt wait to see the results of your work!) :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!
Technically one keyboard makes you a collector, 10 or more makes you ... ;)
There's occasionally call for someone with PCB designing skills. Keep an eye on making stuff together (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=117.0).

Yeah, I get Gear Acquisition Syndrome in every hobby I get into... it's sort of mitigated by building my own gear.
BTW I'm in Melbourne too, hit me up if you need something soldered (that's all I'm good for in this hobby ATM).

Welcome to GH! As the others say, I think you'd fit right in
