Title: 50 Shades of Grey, the Modern Princess.
Post by: tp4tissue on Sun, 15 February 2015, 03:49:31
So.. Let's compare our traditional 20th century female role-model.. to our 21st century 50shades model..

The Disney... 1940s

- Physical Perfection..

- NEVER very smart, in fact highly under-educated and naive..

- Some sort of unlikely adversity befalls her..

- She's saved by a guy or guys (snow w)..

- Princess-Princess-Princess..

- Boom, set for life because eventually she marries a guy who is uber rich..

50shades Princess..

- Again, Girl's beautiful

- She's suppose to be a smart writer, yea ok, miss went to highschool and pursued an english college degree..  Couldn't get through the math book yea?

- Unlikely adversity,  as if any beautiful girl would ever have such problems landing male support..

- Meets the modern prince, again, a rich guy...

- Lots of sex, because everyone in the 21st century is a sexoholic .

- Again..  Boom..  set for life...

For the LONGEST time, even today, we've essentially taught women to prostitute themselves to the highest-bidder...

I'm not going to argue that perhaps, this is as it should be, because females are very much our ONLY baby machines..

But,  if you really want to understand why the classical Females Framework is incompatible in modernity, Look no further than this antiquated Education Model..

I feel like even the scribblings of a lunatic are wasted on 50 Shades of Grey.

Though I don't dispute that I may be a loon..

I think it's quite pertinent that people are cognizant of what they're buying, and why they're buying it..

This film and book series draws upon very basic urges..

I suppose there's nothing truly deprave about depravity, since the only laws are the fundamental laws of physics, and no-one has been able to violate those..

The issue I find problematic here is..  well..  Humanity has become so great at satiating the rewards circuitry that it really brings into question for how-much-longer can we continue to use it as the compass for our pursuits..

I think he's waxing philosophical about the inability of our race, supposedly the pinnacle of millions of years of evolution, to overcome our animalistic urges, and he's upset how the entertainment industry exploits this while most people don't even notice.

If so I agree - we are pretty pathetic and will surely suffer extinction soon enough due to it.

2/10 better than expected. movie swayed a little too far from the original book plot line. decent cut scenes, excellent lighting.

I heard they cut the tampon scene. No wasps and no McRib scene because McDonald's wouldn't allow it.

I read the first two book sot see what all the fuss was all about.

The writing style was so unbearable that the third one wasn't worth reading, regardless of the plot line or sex scenes.

Lol no I've actually only read Twitter rants from feminists about how the movie "contributes to rape culture."

But the book doesn't of course, because that was written by a woman, so it doens't contribute to rape culture. Obviously.

The book is a really bad representation of the bdsm community. So while not actually about rape, it basically just is about a woman in an abusive relationship. But she's too blind because he's rich, handsome and apparently has a huge ****.

Not surprised feminazis are crying about it.

I'm sure it's wrong that I was expecting the fifty shades to be reflective of a keyboard colorway.

Every review I've read said the movie was a pile of garbage.

If you want a good BDSM movie watch The Secretary.

This movie is based off a "book" that was literally Twilight fanfiction. There is no possible way this could be anything but a pile of garbage.  It is amazing it is so popular.

Nothing better than a woman wearing a complete latex outfit tightly hugging every curve of her body, plus women today know how to use a strap-on quite effectively,  get use to someone willing to dish out to any man she can ensnare  8) .

Hmmm, I've always had a thing for undersized one piece swimsuits.

The trailer has reached more than 57 million watches. Sex has been always an attractive ingredient in movies.

Better that, than more War and Disembowelment flicks making their way to film screens everywhere (so boring).

50 Shades is just too pedestrian and unimaginative, it should be "G" rated and shown at Disney Studios, because real BDSM is extremely hard-core and goes on for weeks and even months so it takes only the extremely obedient and committed to endure all of that humiliation and restraint over a long period of time  8) .
