So when we learned about a new compact version of our favorite mechanical keyboard, the Das Keyboard 4 Professional, our click-addicted fingers and cluttered desktops simultaneously rejoiced.

The 87-key Das Keyboard 4C is basically a 10-key-less version of the 4. You get the same gold-plated mechanical switches, the same rugged anodized aluminum panel, even the same footbar/ruler that doubles as a keyboard stand and measuring device.
As with the 4, the 4C comes in Professional and Ultimate editions, the latter being an inscription-less, all-black version geared toward, as Das Keyboard describes them, “typing badasses.”

While the site claims the $143 4C can be purchased with either Blue or Brown Cherry MX switches, it currently only seems to be available in the latter configuration. As a reminder, Brown switches are meant to appeal to both gamers and everyday typists. They have a tactile bump near the middle of the key, which means you don’t have to press the key all the way down to register a keypress. They’re also not as loud as the less game-friendly Cherry MX Blues, which have a much more audible “click” and require slightly more actuation.

They're still showing Cherry switches on the website so I'm not quite sure.

Not for the 4C (TKL) (look at the pictures)

It's weird that they're still using MX for their full size and decided to go with Greetech for their TKL

Different building for manufacturing on the TKL with the side for full sized boards still having stock on Cherry?

I still see Cherry on the switches right below the stems. I might be seeing it wrong though since the text isn't very clear, at least on my screen.

I cant read it either but it definitely doesn't say "Cherry"

Looked through the page source and went to the images. These are Greetech switches, unfortunately.

Didn't we have a really involved thread about this keyboard, and how they needed to change a few things including the design too?  It's probably a few pages down now.  I do agree about how they should move that USB hub to the back instead of the side.  Another thing is they should have a removable cord.  That's my two cents on it.  Where is that thread?
I found it.
