Title: Hello from Italy
Post by: Pennicillina on Sat, 21 February 2015, 05:18:54
Hi all, I'm a new keyboard addicted from Italy.

My precious is a KBT pure 60% MX blue.

And I have a quick question: I' d like to program the keyboard to replicate accented letters, I've found how to insert FN macros in the keyboard but I can't find how to obtain ASCII codes without a numeric keypad, is there a way to do this on my KBT?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Geekhack!

On a full size keyboard you'd normally hold down Alt and type the ASCII code using the numpad.  A couple of stand-alone numpads out there don't send numpad codes for the numeric keys, and that has caught a few people.

Seems like you're not the first (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=34876.msg646051#msg646051) to have problems with generating extra characters - no resolution in that thread though.

If you don't get a response to your query, try asking in the simple questions, simple answers (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40501.0) thread.
