Hey Guys,
I found this site a little while ago but I haven't really had the time to read things. I was looking about on ebay and found this, thought you'd find it funny :)

WOW!!!
What a find for an Australian buyer, very nice.
-
Oh wow, this thing might be close enough for me to pick up.
-
That description though!

That description though!
That is actually hilarious.
-
Agreed. I kind of want to do a local pickup just so I can see the seller's look of disbelief that someone would actually buy it.
I wonder, would something like this help me learn how to use proper touch-typing form? As is, I use six fingers to type and my pinkies and thumbs just sort of hang around like the useless appendages they are.

I used to type like you however I then managed to muster up the guts to learn how to type properly.
I just sat down at my keyboard and slowly but surely made sure to press every single key with the proper finger. I reached about 40wpm at first and I quickly shot up to 80 after a couple of days.
Having a split board will definitely help you learn to touch type with the proper form however it isn't completely necessary.

Holy **** what a find! That is insane. I can't believe the seller doesn't realise it's worth anything.
-
lol looks like this keyboard went through black hole

Welcome to Geekhack!
Hilarious description! Every now and again a gem like that crops up, usually on something that is really crap and the seller is trying to sell it, not on something actually nice like this.
So, quasineutral, are you here to buy a mechanical keyboard? To customise an existing one?
-
I'm thinking about buying a portable mechanical keyboard. I'm after something wireless as well as I'd like the ability to sync it easily to tablets as well as PC's. I guess that leaves me with bluetooth as an interface, or some sort of battery powered converter. But portability will be an issue. I'm not really a gamer, more of a typer that's in VIM constantly.
I'd also like to customize it, seeing some photos of keyboards here is really inspiring.
Any suggestions on what might be a good buy?
Whilst I live in Australia, I'm here in Barcelona for another week. Don't suppose you know of any shops in Barcelona where I can buy this bluetooth mechanical keyboard? (I doubt it, but I thought it doesn't hurt to ask)
-
You can get adapters to get USB keyboards to work over bluetooth, right?
-
If everyone's attitude is as great and sarcastic as this guy, I's going to be moving to AUS sooner or later. Scenery must be great there too. BTW great post!
-
I don't find it funny. I find it sad that the seller can be such an ignorant jerk.

Bugger all down here, unless you can find a generic Bluetooth adaptor and mate it to a 60% (HHKB or Poker or similar).
Probably a bit late now, but here's a few older threads about Bluetooth mechanicals:
