I would like to buy a 55gram Realforce TKL preferably in excellent condition. I am in Australia so factor that into the shipping costs. I am happy to pay for shipping as long as it isn't really expensive.
I also want to buy a numpad (be it Cherry or the 23u) preferably in a very standard size.

Bump! Still looking!

Look for Glissant's WTS, he has the all black (not sure what color you're looking for)
edit: oops, he is trying to trade it :-[

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion none the less :)

Elite Keyboards is supposed to have them in stock by the end of this month:
http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=topre_keyboards,rftenkeyless&pid=rf_se18t0
They do ship to Australia, but I'm not sure how their shipping costs compare with what it would cost someone from GH to ship it.
-
I tried buying a HHKB off them a while back and the shipping was (if I remember correctly) around 100 usd. Considering the aud is kinda dying at this point, 100 usd for shipping is really on the high side.
-
Have you tried messaging http://www.mechkb.com to see if/when they'll carry the 55g again (product page is here (http://www.mechkb.com/topre-realforce-87u-tenkeyless-mechanical-keyboard))? Might be able to save some money on shipping just by waiting a bit if they're getting a shipment soon.
-
I called them about that last week. They didn't have an ETA on it. They did confirm that if they get one in stock, the price will be $299.
-
FWIW I gave up my WTB for one of these and just ordered it direct. I registered for a Tenso account and am using them as a proxy for a purchase through amazon.co.jp. It will probably end up costing the same as it would have through EK here in the US but knowing that I can get things direct is kind of neat. I bet the shipping to Australia is much less than to the US from Japan. So that is always a route to consider - just import it yourself! Good luck.

I called them a while back. They had no ETA and as Ludovician said, they still don't.

I wouldn't be too surprised if I got stung by shipping. Interesting, I've never used Tenso. How are they? (speed, service quality etc.)?

I just looked on amazon.co.jp and the price of the realforce seems quite reasonable. ¥19816 ($212 AUD). I didn't see a price on the shipping to a Tenso address but Tenso's shipping and handling should probably end up between ¥3000 and ¥4000. Either way, it's likely to end up cheaper than buying one off another member here.
I don't know what Tenso's service is like, though. If you do go this way let me know how it is, because once I have the money I want to get my Type-S HHKB through them.

Yay all the Japanese I can't read! :) Time to get a friend of mine to read it lol
-
Running the page through Google Translate should make it somewhat readable (although it creates a lot of Engrish gibberish because of how different the languages are grammatically).
-
Exactly. Prefer to get someone who can actually read the language. I would rather buy it from MK.com though since they're local and I can go by their shop and it makes any warranty (I doubt I'll ever need to) easy.
-
That is true. I hope they get some in stock at some point.
It has now been 13 hours since I acquired my RF87U55, and over half of that was spent away from the computer, but so far the only things I dislike about it are the keycaps on the Windows keys. I only use the left one, so I took the cap off that and swapped it with the menu key, which I also never use. But now my keyboard looks awkwardly asymmetrical. Good thing nobody ever looks at it.
-
Well my 87u is still no where to be seen.... :'( someone sell me one hahahaha
Well I guess Novatouch with granites make up for it for now... :)
-
Bumple

MechKb still has stock in their Realforce 23u/b: http://www.mechkb.com/topre-realforce-23u-ub-mechanical-keypad-45g-uniform
-
Yes but preferably one that fits in better with the more angular look of the novatouch and hhkb
