Ok.. um...

It rarely works out like the picture books..

I believe the story depicted was romanticized with that sudden break through and a happy ending.

While,  REAL depression is usually a variable cycle of depressive and manic states.

So in reality,  the dude in the pictures would've felt really good for a while, but then would almost certainly cycle back to being depressed..

The reason for this is because, the "depressive" attitude is as anything else, a chemical reaction in the brain..   THIS reaction has limits,  you CAN exhaust the "sad" chemicals..

But unless the CAUSE of the sad chemicals is relieved,  it will invariably recharge given time..  and if the right sad-triggers persist in ones life,  it will throw you into the drain again..

If you're depressed feel free to PM the Tp4..  He's here to help  (http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion/f529a952.gif)

First, note that Allie Brosh is a woman.

But second, why would you think you know more about Brosh’s personal experience than she knows herself? Your post is incredibly presumptuous, the wonderful mix of clueless and douchey that we have all come to expect from you TP4. Great work.

Well, you don't have to trust Tp4 to confide in Tp4..

As long as what you say is not incriminating in any way..   what problem is there really with any one knowing that you're depressed..

People bottle up out of fear of judgement much of the time, and they forget this is the internet..

Anyone can judge all they like..   Without consequence, both parties are invincible. .

Um... yes...  AFK-friendship can help depression greatly because it may alleviate depressive loops by engaging empathy neurons..

But there is difficulty in finding that friend in the first place..

There are support groups ya'll can go to nowadays (and find ONLINE)..  if you don't have a ride, try bike..  or if you're close enough,  someone from the group might even give you a ride.

Ha! It's nice to see someone else express a similar sentiment.
