I think it would be more likely that you would get help if you stated exactly what you need help with.

ok, so, back in december last year, i asked someone here to help proxy my a WoB set from ebay. he got the item, sent it out on the 15th via First-Class Package International Service USPS, trackable but not insured.

somehow after it left the US, it ended up in Vilnius, Lithuania. from there, the Lithuanian Post updated the tracking and said that the package left to destination country, which is Malaysia where i am right now, on the 6th of january 2015. after that, no news at all.

i tried e-mailing the Lithuanian Post regarding the package but never got any replies. however, i managed to message them via skype on the 27th of february and they confirmed that the package left Lithuania. further questions regarding flight info, where to exactly, etc. never got any replies.

i am asking anyone who can help me communicate with the Lithuanian Post about this matter. if anyone can speak Lithuanian to them directly i think everything will be easier and more understandable. i know the package could have been simply lost somewhere, but there is the possibility it was stolen here instead. i need to have the flight info and destination so that i can further this matter to the Malaysian POS service and local police, as it has been reported quite a few times before whereby packages that arrived here were stolen with insider help at the airport.

I don't think that the Lithuanian post knows more than what they have already told you.

I'll bet that the stuff was stolen by POS Malaysia. I know very well how that country works (or fails to work, which is most of the time as exemplified by the MH370 fiasco). In contrast the Lithuanians have a record/ reputation for being Nordic/ Germanic in their aspirations for honesty and competence.

i will try contacting them in the next coming days. all i need is some sort of confirmation that the package has left for Malaysia, not somewhere else for transit. if so, i can follow up with the local side of things and get answers.

Wouldn't the normal procedure be to contact your postal service first since they are the final handoff before the package reaches you and have them follow up and trace the package.

the last time i contacted them all they answered was that the item was in transit but have not arrived here. if i can prove to them that the item was indeed on its flight to here, not anywhere else for transit, then i can rustle their jimmies and push them to search for it. as i said above, sadly, there were cases before of packages stolen once they came down from the plane at the airport.

i do not think you can 'lost' a shipping package. it is not something very small that one can miss if it was misplaced or anything. for example, the Lithuanian Post have this procedure whereby if a sender believes his/her package is lost, they can fill a form and the LP will do a thorough physical search around their offices and warehouses.
