... I got Dinner Date? ummm, OK. :))
never even heard of this. Wish I knew what it was so I could've potentially traded for a Hitman game, but thanks.

SICK!!! I got growing pains!!! Platform race/puzzle game!
I'll send some codes for games when I get home in the morning.
Got Spellforce, will give it a shot when I get home but I've never really been a huge fan of RTS/RPG games so we'll see how it goes.
Risk of Rain
I've been interested in that one :D
Just got Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle, GG. Will report back soon :DI am really curious what that game is about just by the title alone.
Ok, WW2: Panzer Claws review.
This game runs at a max of 1024x768 res. Controls are basic and it may have been fun in 2004 when it came out, but now it is too slow and clumsy feeling.
21 minutes is all I could take of this one.
Putting my name back in for Oddworld. Thanks again Asininity for this awesome experiment.
Oh wait, I'm still 'flagged' for 2 weeks due to a disputed charge at the end of February, guess I should hold off for now
Looks like I missed it. This looked really cool, I'd like to participate next time! You can still participate!
If Bioshock 2 is still here towards the end of the month I'm coming back for it! lol

Round 2: I recieved May's Mysteries: The Secret of Dragonville. Loading now and firing it up :thumb:
Just received Kingdom Elemental. I'm in for it this time D:Oh man that was bad. I seriously could only take 20 minutes and i got off. The tutorial was pretty good but that's it :( It looks like it was made from the 90's (i don't really know if it was or not) but i also don't really like RPG's that much so that sealed the deal. 5/10 from me :P
Risk of Rain
I've been interested in that one :D
Finished Dinner Date in 23 minutes, that is if you could call it a game at all. You play as some contemplative sad sack approaching his 30s who just whines for 20 minutes about how all his friends are more successful and how he's wasted his glory years. This goes on and on while he waits for his date, a 20 year old Japanese school girl apparently, to show up as he continues to lament not being mature and responsible as he gets drunk on the bottle of wine he bought for the date. Eventually nothing is resolved as he decides she isn't showing and he wants to go find his immature friends to hang out with at the bar anyway.
The 'gameplay' consists of you hitting letters on the keyboard a la quicktime event, but in this case with no real purpose or game dynamic other than to waste time while you are waiting for the main character to finish up his ****ty emo internal monologue. 2/10 - would not recommend. The one point is for artistic integrity which I applaud, even if it is self-loathing pretentious over analytic bull****.
I'd like to try guardians of middle earth. In the process of re-installing windows atm so a mini review might take a while.
after 3 rolls, i still haven't rolled dust, and this time i got Huntsman: The Orphanage and Looking at the reviews, looks like it's gonna be a good one :))Annnnnnnd it was exactly as bad as i though it was gonna be. Graphics weren't bad, but it just seemed so boring, and for a horror game, it wasn't very scary either. Voice acting was bad, and not much really happens. 3/10, was really tame and wouldn't reccomend.
Insurgency please :p
Woo! Thanks so much, rolled Hitman: Absolution!
I'll post a mini review probably tomorrow after getting my hands dirty ;)

Played 40 mins of Ahhhhhh The Awesome so far and it is sweet! The music is super fun, the levels are cool. You skydive straight down, try to get as close as you can to buildings for more points. Then you open your parachute and you turn the camera in front of you instead of above you to have normal slow landing speed. Its pretty cool! :p
Reserved for my write up on: The Tomorrow War
Pray for me!

This time it'll be 50/50 chances! Time to see where you wind up.
FINALLY ROLLED DUST! Gonna play this and i'll review it shortly, Thanks Asininity :thumb:So i played it for 57 minutes last night, and i just got around to reviewing it this morning and this game is so fun! Graphics are great, story is awesome, gameplay is addictive, and i kinda had to force myself to get off because i needed some sleep :p For a game made by one person, i gotta give this a 10/10 and i'm probably gonna play it till i beat the game. Once again, thanks Asininity!

Dust: An Elysian Tail
Keep meaning to get it every time it goes on sale just never have, also side note the game strike suit infinity is a great game for anyone wondering the main game strike suit Zero is amazing too!
Clocked in 22 minutes for Flight of the Icarus.
The game was very repetitive and boring. The idea is to protect the cargo on the ship. Controls were simple, but slightly awkward. Dismounting a gun was letter "D" which coincided with the movement keys. The game is buggy and graphics look very ancient. I did get a kick out of the "engine" design.
Trying again for Darksiders.
P.S. I noticed that Flight of the Icarus was not on the list. Are there other games that you might have to try?Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/5jMkHO4.jpg)Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/jYk0Hnn.jpg)
On my second round I was able to get the game I was aiming for (which was Crimsonland) so I'm about to go in and give it a quick go before bed :))
Asininity sent me this key a few hours ago and only now have I had the time to try the game out.
edit: Managed to play for about 40mins and then realized the time and how much other stuff I have to do so I (sadly) had to stop. Crimsonland is a great game if you ever just want to just chill out and blast some face. You can play in various different modes (I've only manages to unlock the main levels and survival mode) where 3 other friends can join in with you aswell. In the survival mode they have a neat little perk system which you would unlock after every level. That means each play through in survival is different with varying difficult as the perks that you unlock are randomized.

I'd love to shoot for "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin" *fingers crossed*
I haven't played Hitman on PC at all and the last version I played was the first one on the console.
Insurgency please and thank you
Time for a short review of Dungeon of Elements after playing for 38 minutes.
Pros:
+ Easy controls
+ Tetris-like gameplay
+ RPG elements (character equipment, boosters, crafting, and etc.)
Cons:
- Clunky movement
- Rip-off of Dr. Mario
- Cheap graphics
- Level design can sometimes be confusing
- RepetitiveShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/WqbdnYH.jpg)Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/rFxARrX.jpg)

May's Mysteries: The Secret of Dragonville review:
Professor Layton clone. Basic puzzles at the beginning (I only got about 25 minutes in), but I am sure they will get better. The resolution is not adjustable, so you either play it as standard windowed and lean in real close to do the searching puzzles, or expand to full screen and try to play while looking through a screen covered in vasoline. I am not a huge puzzle game fan, but will continue with this one in the future. Would I pay $$ for this? Nope. But for free it is a nice change of pace from Diablo. 6/10
One funny side note: my 4670k/R9 280X combo runs this @2300 fps with dips all the way to 1600.
Going to throw my name in for Oddworld a third time (fingers crossed).
Okay, I literally managed just 20 minutes of Legends of Persia. Imagine Diablo, but ****-ter. It was abysmal. The controls were okay, but the movement was abysmal. The items are so common it's constant change in and out.
Few screenshots.
This was as soon as I opened the game. As you can see it looks... amazing... o_o

This was my first proper quest after doing the tutorial bit. He was a real ***** to keep safe. Luckily I had a bow and arrow which forced him to stay back. When I tried to use my sword, he just ran with me and let enemies attack and kill him.

This was the boss at the end of the quest. I died several times but realised the thing to beating this boss was keeping my two allies alive which were also protectors of that ****ty person we had to protect.

I'm so sorry I could only manage 20 minutes but this was awful.
I'll try again for Dustforce DX please. Thanks for doing it. Even though LoP was an awful game, it's good fun this way! :D
Ok, got "Two Brothers" this time. I don't get much time to play games during the week, but will try to get it loaded in the morning and give it a go. Hoping it works. Most of the negative comments focus on the game being broken and not really working at all.
I should have everyone's keys messaged. Sorry for not taking care of it last night. If I missed anyone please let me know. I hope everyone's having fun! :thumb:Well, I got abouy 20 min. in this morning and its not bad. There are a few issues like not being able to speed up the text (which there is a ton of), but overall, no game breakers so far. I thought the screenshots looked bad. I would be impressed if a group of high school got together and developed that but otherwise... that's awful. That was one of the word rated games that I had.Ok, got "Two Brothers" this time. I don't get much time to play games during the week, but will try to get it loaded in the morning and give it a go. That's the reason I strayed away from it. Otherwise it looks like a entertaining title. I hope it works out! I like the artwork.
I got Frozen Hearth. My impressions:
It's a horrendous game. The graphics and lore suck and the game runs super sluggishly. I could barely play it. Horrible game.
I'd like to try for Just Cause 2 again.
Finally got Darksiders!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
I will report back when I get to play it.
I got the Shopkeeper. It's a point and click adventure that's rather short.
You start as a shopkeeper in a shop and can click on a couple items to hear about them. Then a customer comes in and you can click more items to hear about them again. Eventually the shopkeeper will start telling a story about some guy trying to ask his mother in law for money. Once again, you can click items and hear the guy's thoughts on them. When he finally speaks to his mother in law, you're presented with a dialogue branching path (3 choices, 2 choices, 3 choices) for a total of 18 different paths. If you pick the right one you win the game (it's pretty random, there's no way to tell which path leads to success besides trial and error).
The game was completely voice acted and I thought they were decent but my girlfriend said the voices were annoying. I was a little disappointed that clicking items had basically nothing to do with the game, you just get to hear a bit about a made up history. There aren't any subs so you have to either sit through them talking or skip over it completely.
Each play through of the game takes maybe 5 minutes if you sit through all the conversations. So without a guide you have a 50% chance of beating it in 45 minutes if you listen through each conversation.
Honestly, it didn't really feel like a complete game...
Thanks though.
I'll try again for velocibox if no one has it yet :)
Sadly, I didn't get a Hitman game :-[ Instead I got Robowars:
It's basically a Russian Plants vs. Zombie style tower-defense game. Graphics are actually decent. It looks way better than PvZ on the PC and even runs at 1920x1080 automatically! Decently fun.
Sometimes the interface randomly changes into Russian:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/Vvy896T.jpg?1)
After this, I also had to restart because the dialog box refused to close.
The soundtrack is repetitive, to say the least. I turned it off after a few minutes. Sounds in general in this game are really just average. Nothing particularly terrible or anything impressive.
The dialog is equal parts ridiculous and bad translation. Grammar errors and odd phrases abound:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/Ku8gi0b.jpg?1)
I won't be playing for 50+ hours, but I could see myself playing a couple rounds here and there. "Frankly, I cannot wait to combat again!"Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/zBaHKC2.jpg?1)
Overall: Decently fun, decently challenging. I give it a Silver Star.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/rym3lMx.jpg?1)
I would like to try for inMomentum.
Thanks :)
I love bad subtitles.
Want me to throw in you in for another go for Hitman?
Ok, so i just played real warfare for 20minutes. I have never played anything this bad before, the game is basically clicking on who you want to attack and then waiting to se if you win. its just not the game for me. But if its ok i want another shot at bioshock 2 :)
I ended up with a game called Montague's Mount. It's an Indie adventure horror style puzzle solving game. I played 30 minutes of it before realizing how long I had actually played. It has an amazing atmosphere and a great feel to it that I can only describe as a mix between the FANTASTIC game "The Room" (available on Android/IOS and Steam) and Slender. The character walks at an unacceptably slow pace, but I don't really mind because it forces you to take in the game's beautiful atmosphere. I enjoy it, recommend it, and will be playing more of it.
I'd still like another go at Just Cause 2 though ;D
I ended up with some game called War on Folvos. It is an RTS kind of game, which I completely hate. Similar to the above game, it is some kind of boring click on a thing, then click on a spot on the map grid and wait to see something happen kind of game. This kind of game bores me to tears. It's even worse than most as the objectives seem to be quite obtuse to me and I was never sure how to complete any 'objective' to make any progress. Game is complete rubbish. I am afraid to take another turn in fear of ending up with anything else this bad. Thanks for the chance Asininity.
So I luckily got what I wanted which was Strike Suit InfinityShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/DNW8Yrc.jpg?1)
I played for maybe about 40 minutes and then stopped to get ready for bed. Here's a real quick pros/cons about the game.
Pros:
+ Twitchy mechs (think Zone of the Enders)
+ Simple UI
+ Cool music
+ Real fun in bursts of time. (I can't see myself playing this for hours)
Cons
- Controls feel very "fluid," but in a bad way. I felt like I NEEDED a joystick which I do not own.
- Enemies kind of all look the same and don't seem to be really distinguishable
- Graphics are kind of meh. They remind me of early PS3
In case anyone is curious I did have all the graphics maxed out, but it's nothing to cry over. All in all it was a pretty good game, and I'll probably spend some more time on it in the future.
I give this a game a solid B so far from what I've played.
Thank again Asininity! :thumb:
Is Just Cause Two still available?Mr.squishy got it bro.

There are plenty of other surprisingly good games still available, you should still try them out! You might be surprised. Is Just Cause Two still available?Mr.squishy got it bro.
And now im sad... :(
Any of these games not violent, and maybe puzzle solving? Possibly with nice artistic graphics? I'm not familiar with most of these titles.
Could i get a try at guardians of middle earth?
Do You have Something Like Skyrim Or Rust?
Would love some good games!
Do You have Something Like Skyrim Or Rust?
Would love some good games!
The Inner World is a very interesting point & click adventure.. been lots of various family activities going on lately, so I haven't had as much gaming time as I would like, but I've enjoyed the bit I've gotten to play!
Sorry for the late review, been super busy catching up with assignments.
On with the review!
Darksiders is a combination of Devil May Cry, God of War, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The gameplay is Devil May Cry's hack and slash, while combining God of War's execution sequence. The character size and movement speed reminds me of Space Marine.
Pros:
+ Long game
+ Fast-pace action
+ Good graphics
+ Lots of puzzles
+ Good weapon choices
+ Weapon upgrades
Cons
- Dreadful movement speed (sprint feels like walking)
- Repetitive fatalities/executions
- Limited graphic settings
- Messy controls(it will take some time to get used to)
Overall, I would recommend checking it out if the movement speed and messy controls doesn't bother you.
Once again, Thanks Asininity for the opportunity!
Many thanks Asininity, I hope your finals went well.
Ok, to restrict a bit and provide some preference: any shooter would do it, e.g. ibomber attack or gigantic army or what else is up for draws.
If, by any chance, you are interested in Frozen Synapse, I have that famous second/gift copy sitting in my inventory, just let me know.
If Asininity isn't interested, but somebody else is, same thing: I'll give it with pleasure.
Cheers
Matt
Ok, I am back to try again.
In for Oddworld :thumb:
Hello
I´m on OSX so there isn´t much options for me, but i´m really interested in Insurgency.
Either I get lucky or not, thank you for doing this. It´s awesome. :D
Thank You! ;D
Being honest, I had not received a present in many years! I really appreciate this.
MoreHello there,
The spin gave me Clickr.
It's an interesting puzzle game. I clocked about 1.5 hours into it, and it strikes me as a fairly original and addictive puzzle. I don't have a great deal of experience in such games, but basically it reminds a sort of Columns (and a ton more of similar titles), where the player has to kill the smaller squares to make the others slide down, and build big squares 2x2 to be then popped. Popping big square after big square triggers the combo, which gives a score multiplier – the longer the combo, the higher the multiplier (d'oh!).
The most original twist is that the board can, and really should be rotated as much as possible: this is because squares made by rotating the board and letting the small tiles fall add a 2x point bonus to the popping.
Then, it's the same deal as in all other puzzle games – the bigger are the color combinations one pops, the higher the score.
There are several unlockable game modes. So far, I tried the first one (puzzle mode) and unlocked a couple others, battle and push.
Puzzle mode has 50 stages, each requiring a specific target (make 7 combos in 30 secs, make 3000 points in 1 minute, etc) that requires different strategies. I am now stuck at stage 21, which is incredibly difficult and in fact has several threads around the web.
Push mode is a duel vs the computer: by making combos and popping squares, the player pushes big color blocks in the opponent's pit, with the aim of overwhelming it.
I can't say anything about the others, but there is a multiplayer mode that should be some sort of duel, similar to push, or battle which I don't know. I fear the IQ mode, because the others as well are not so IQ-less.
The graphics are what one would expect from a little indie puzzle: very blocky and worse than, say... Pang. The music is also pretty obnoxious. Others seem to like both, though. But the game...The game itself is sadistic, and encourages quick thinking and even quicker mashing on the mouse and on the two board rotation buttons: its rythm is nothing short of EXTREME.
Very, very, very solid, and well thought. I can only compare it with a few other, nameless puzzle games I had a glancing touch at, and it sure belongs to another league. It is exhausting, and does not call for long sessions.
I read some reviews, after writing mine. The feedback is strongly positive, I learnt that these squares are called blocks, and I wish to point out what a disgruntled reviewer said: for a casual game, it's NOT so casual. It requires thinking, and a lot of it, stage after stage.
What to say, thank-you again Asininity. I think that after all I am better off with this, than with another shooter. I will surely fire it up from time to time.
I'll be copy-pasting this review also on Steam, for what Steam score is worth.
Cheers
My super late review of 4 PM. It has a very Indie feel to it, as in you can tell it was going more towards a story and not high end graphics, although they aren't terrible. Short story, cool mystery, find out what happened last night through investigation flashbacks.
Long story, you seem to play a female alcoholic who woke up late for work and are trying to piece together what happened last night. Through out clue finding you have playable flashbacks when you find clues. It actually doesn't seem to be a bad game, but personally not my style and the controls felt clunky to me. Could I honestly recommend it, no. May you find the game enjoyable, yes. Is it worth 3 dollars to find out, maybe if you are into this type of game.
Magicka & Magicka Wizard Wars Paradox please!
Yeah, I would love to try Magicka, thanks!
I would love to get Red Faction: Armageddon. You pumped for the new expansion (hearthstone)!!
I play a lot of League, CSGO, and Hearthstone. Looking for a good single player game to pass the time.
Thanks in advance. :thumb:

Daily reveals are cool. Hard to keep up with the 700 gold a week. I don't win 30 games a day, and do maybe 5 quests a week.
I wont put $$$ into the game.
I just saw the 30 posts thing :(
I would love to give Metal Dead a try! (if not then please no horror or sports games, i can't touch those games =P)
Thank you!!!
I'll like to get in on Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae.
I would like to get the only hitman game that's left , but if it is not available i would accept anything really :thumb:
MoreI'm 40 hrs into Insurgency. I've become totally addicted to it. It's not really like I imagined it, I guess it's better. There is no single player campaign, just online co-ops. It has a lot of great aspects to it but some really stand out. This game is not really that prone to individual show offs, it's all about team work and working together to reach the objectives. In some games both teams are working together so well that the matches become very tense and dramatic.
The community is very good, few teenagers and a lot of young adults, so toxic players get shut off very quickly and there is a high tolerance for casual and new players. Weapon options are very decent, comparable to most fps in this category. Story is basically none, typical CT vs T. Maps are decently varied in close quarters and long range combat options but some maps give a clear advantage to one of the teams, not necessarily unfair because you flip teams on the second part of the match.
Games can take long and patience may be rewarding depending on the situation. Voice chat is almost a necessity since communicating will make a big difference in the outcome of the match, I have left from matches where I don't hear anyone communicating because that's most of the times securing failure. Winning a match feels very good in this game, you know your team has grinded hard to achieve the victory but losing can get the team to tighten their tactics and win the next round, so in that sense it's very engaging.
I generally love it, I don't really have much to complain about, the only thing I can think of right now is that some servers don't let you kick anyone from the match so usually those servers are visited by the wannabe troll teens but that's it. In most servers I have played you can kick and there is rarely a need to use the option. So, in short: It's a terrifically exciting and fun game. :thumb:
I would love to get Red Faction: Armageddon.
I play a lot of League, CSGO, and Hearthstone. Looking for a good single player game to pass the time.

Thanks for Metal Dead Asininity!
So I have 5 hours on it because i missed some achievements so i basically replayed it to get them because i figured, "why not"
So i actually didn't know that this was a puzzle game, i thought it was going to be like "ZOMBIES ATE MY FRIENDS" on Google play store. I really enjoyed that game except for the energy and such so that's why i wanted to try this game.
So it starts off with you in a vehicle with your friend and you figure out that you only use the mouse for the game play which is just LMB and RMB, LMB to well, click, and RMB to toggle between actions which are, see, talk, touch/grab, and walk.Show Image(http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/535142803667195103/22B808095570ED6330DBF272566CAECB26326653/)
So the game play is alright but it moves slower than i'd like and it's a little choppy but everything works which is really all i ask for.Show Image(http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29606676072211153/156B9ECCBEC5E94C5A2315613DDC927E650D90FA/)
The game is a little humorous which certain lines and scenesShow Image(http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/525015346375070045/C28FE7F3D54C7B99FCC4A1F2893A5FD07B243409/)
I'm honestly not all that great at reviews and can't really give more screens without giving away some of the story or main humor points in the gameShow Image(http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/448458176289243357/4457C0B080BC1624A94857BC1EF1D52310C6118A/)
So my overall review of it is, It's not bad.
The good:
-everything works (no bugs)
-humorous
-has some story
-not entirely too hard
-humorous 8bit like music
The bad:
-slow movement
-animation can be a little choppy
-useless see function causing you to have to scroll 1 extra action with RMB
-overall pretty easy puzzles throughout game
-humorous 8bit like music
I'm not entirely sure what else to say =P
Thanks for the free game Asininity!
Hello again Asininity, now I would like to try The Stanley Parable please.Great game, 10/10 would get totally ****ing confused again.

Have not checked any of the titles except Fortix, if it is the same that is on the playstation network, I will pass on that one. Outside that game, I will take any random game.
Mercenary Kings PLEASE!!! Looks badass!

I don't know if it's the same Fortix as on the PS network. I have not played it nor do I have a PS.

Just checked it on steam, looks like the same game.
Stanley Parable! Thanks :)

You got it!
I can let some keys go, if you don't mind me piggybacking off your thread.
Hopefully i'll have some time to write the review soon, been pretty busy lately.
I can say that mercenary kings a pretty good game so far though.

Soo the game I got is PixelJunk Shooter (THANKS). It's basically about maneuvering a spaceship through different caves and save some lost workers who are scattered everywhere.
You have to shoot wildlife, walls, etc. to regulate water/magma and find or create your way through the earth. (earth? not sure about this one)
The story is a little weak. The gameplay is somewhat weird too... I think it was originally written for consoles (with gamepads). BUT it's still a fun game, and is actually well playable with mouse or tablet.
These screenshots were all made in world 1, as I haven't played further. Next is an ice world, woooh!
Still haven't played my game yet, hopefully I'll get around to it this weekend and post a review.
I'm 40 hrs into Insurgency.
If I have some un-redeemed keys that I could give away, where do I send them? To Asinity or someone else? Have three Steam keys and six Origin keys.
Do we have a GeekHack steam community? It might be good to create one, and we can be sure that people aren't coming just for steam keys. Then distribute the keys on giveaways on Steamgifts. I've had success doing it that way on other boards.

This is an great idea! Well I haven't checked for one & I haven't heard about it either. Is it a hard task?
Theres an unofficial one that has a lot of members in it already :)

That's cool.. joined!
... which brings the second part. It's not limited in joining, so it won't work to restrict people from just joining for keys. And unfortunately, people do that.
Thoughts?

I think the group was made just to find other gh users on steam.. If you want to give away keys I would just do it through a thread on the forums here, that way you will get more people to see it too.

Does that men Topre users are unwelcome?

I'd prefer it not to be first come first serve, but some kind of lottery. Steamgifts is perfect for that, if linked to a group that you can verify the members. Would it be a problem if I set up a closed group to facilitate that? Or would you rather that not be done?
