Title: Looking for mechanical keyboard where the f keys and number keys line up exactly
Post by: thebloody9 on Thu, 12 March 2015, 15:06:30
Please suggest a mechanical keyboard where the f keys and number keys line up exactly and there is no space between them.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Are you referring to an Ortholinear keyboard (column layout)? If so, check out http://ortholinearkeyboards.com/ (http://ortholinearkeyboards.com/).

I mean a keyboard like the keycool 84 or noppoo choc mini, where the number and f keys are perfectly aligned. Are those my only choices for those type of keyboard?

Ah, I see. Yeah, this is not a layout I'm overly familiar with, but those are the two I know of. I'm sure there is a custom that matches this layout somewhere. Perhaps someone more familiar with the 84 key layout can chime in.

EDIT: There is this --> https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69064.0 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69064.0)

Do you need to build customs yourself? Id rather find a prebuilt if possible.

I think 75% layout is about your best option.  Not much in that form factor though.

So noppo choc mini and keycool 84 are my only options? Which one is better and where can I find them?
