Hey y'all! In the time that I have been away from the 'hack I built myself a PC for a few engineering classes last semester. The cost was very expensive, but I wanted not a decent machine but a killer one that could be overclocked/taken much further if I desired for any project/reason. Also, If I was going to put such a substantial amount of moolah into this I wanted to have a little to show for it aesthetically. Thus many of the components light up (Mobo/ram/liquid cooler/pcie-storage card/fans). That being said, I still wanted a professional yet stylish case and not some one off uber-crazy-box that wouldn't look at home if I decided to take it to a lab at school etc. (which I never did mind you, its sole position has been on this desk).
This was built just prior to last semester (august) so it isn't even a school year old. I didn't end up using it as much as I thought I would as a few of the design projects ended up being delegated to others (despite my protest =p) And as I won't need something this powerful for a while again I want to be able to fund my hobby of hackintosh building which I plan on perfecting during the summer.
Originally I was going to part it out on ebay/the like and keep the K4200 for my later use but then I thought "Hmm... well what if someone on GH is in need of something like this?" So I decided to put the full computer up for sale here and see if there's any interest.
Brass tacks: It cost my a little over $3300 to build (and I like to think I did a nice clean build) I'd like to get at least $2500 (monitor not included) out of the deal if not or if that doesn't seem fair, no offense taken, and Ill resume my original idea of parting it out, just don't want it to go to waste if it can be useful elsewhere =]
Computers are much like cars, everyone likes what they like and has their own style. What Ive built here is very very high performance and can be taken to the tenth tenth if so desired. However it still retains a reserved enough aesthetic for a professional/pre-professional environment.
So here are the specs:
Msi X Power Z97 Overlocking Motherboard
Core i7-4790K (4.00 GHz)
NXZT Kraken X61 Liquid Cooling (280mm rad)
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RAM (16GB)
ASUS ROG RAIDR Pcie flash storage card (256 GB (Windows 7 Pro 64bit installed here))
PNY Nvidia Quadro K4200 4GB GDDR5
EVGA Nvidia GTX 580
2 x 1TB WD Red HDD
ASUS DVD Reader/Writer
Corsair RM 1000 PSU (1000W, fully modular)
Some notes:
The rig has never, not once, been overlocked and none of the OC settings have been touched. The motherboard has a load of awesome features, one of which is the "ceasefire" ability to physically toggle on and off which PCI slots are active, hence having the Quadro and GTX in there (haven't setup/downloaded drivers for the 580 yet). The RAIDR card is amazing. Its where the OS is currently installed and is ridic fast. For data storage, I have two 1TB WD hard drives. All in an attractive Corsair 730T case with smoked plexi door.
Asking: $2500 shipped within the 'ol US of A
Or trade for a titan Z? =p
A few pics (lighting/phone quality is terrible I knoe):

If you've been looking for something like this or were going to build one like it and want to save a few bones, let me know!

hmmmmmmmmm..............................If you'd be willing to "part" it out, I'd pay $350 for the Quadro alone.

Not a bad rig. Try selling it on hardforum.com. Amandtech would also work better for you but the post count would be painful to aquire quickly.

Thank you! And I will try on those forums!

You may not have to. I'd be willing to buy the entire system, but I'd need some time (until June, probably). And seeing as how you're selling a PC that was built for an actual purpose (engineering instead of just gaming), I'm guessing you need cash fast. Still, if you're not in a rush......................
