This sounds like the setup to a bad joke, but I got to thinking;
You've all seen fat goths, overweight emos, and even chubby scene kids but in all my years I don't recall ever seeing a fat punk.

Because you're not looking hard enough and/or because the punk movement is largely diminished and you don't see as many around as you used to. Maybe it's because I was in Seattle, but I saw more than a few fat punks, especially amongst the entitled street rat crust punks and the black flag anarchists. None of them were morbidly obese, but definitely some fat and obese ones.

I think -anti-establishment- is quite dead..
In modern times, it's really only been leveraged to create OTHER -establishments- to challenge existing ones..
But to fundamentally Adhere to Perfect-individual-freedom is flawed, in that it's NOT possible.
The Idealized PUNK is not someone who dresses funny and listens to rock music.
RATHER..
A punk is a Farmer who grows and raise all the food, enough to support himself..

While I can't speak for everywhere... at least around here when I was in the punk scene (20 years ago), all the fat kids were always skinheads.

Skinheads are an offshoot of punk. Some are NeoNazis, some are very vocally against prejudice. There's a lot of bad blood between "traditional" punks and skinheads.

Skinhead is a (usually) derogatory term used to refer to white supremacists. Just because someone is "punk" and has a shaved head that doesn't mean they are a skinheads.

Like I said, sine we're talking about punks, skinhead takes on a different meaning than the neo-Nazi idea that many people think about when talking about skinheads. Skinheads are an offshoot of the original punk movement and are associated with Oi! music and street punk. There are skinheads who are anti-racist, there are skinheads who are apolitical, and there are skinheads who are white supremacists. ive never seen or heard of any fat punks, even as a FUNNY PIDGURE on the internet, honestly it doesnt bother me
