Anything competitive to the Poker and Leopold boards?
-
Obligatory HHKB Pro 2 recommendation.
But seriously. HHKB...
-
Poker is very customizable utilizing just about any keyset and literally a dozen different cases. Standard spacebars and stabilizers.
Leopold not so much. Ditto for other 60's.
Only thing I'd choose over a poker is a GON, GH60, or maybe Sprit. Those are customs though.
If you want a different typing experience but don't care so much about customization then there's the HHKB.
-
I've gone though many 60%. HHKB has been my favorite with poker 2 lubed blacks being a close second.
-
The Infinity was the first 60% to catch my eye. Although I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever manage a custom keycap set for the ALPS hacker layout I ordered...
-
HHKB
-
or maybe Sprit.
Sprit seems to have gone rogue. I would not order from him.
-
Poker 3, GON NerD60, Infinity, KBP V60, Ducky Mini. All standard layout, all programmable except for the Ducky.
-
What constitutes the best? If you include the wide range of customs, the off the shelf offerings can't compare imo. However, if you want great value with great features,non-funky layout, and a wealth of case options if you so choose later down the line, the Poker can't be beat.

V60 is nice. Ducky Mini is solid as ****.

V60, with Matias switches.
-
Poker for the customization. HHKB for the feels.
-
Another vote here for the HHKB
-
I think this depends on your budget. If you like the feel of a rubber dome but want more... HHKB
if you have tried cherry mx and like them.. then you have many many options.
my vote...
gon nerd 60...
-
FC660C or FC660M, because they have arrow keys and, depending on what you do, these are the most used keys on a keyboard (with the space key).
But you have already mentioned Leopold, so maybe you wanted an alternative.
In this case, the Matias Laptop Pro is a great keyboard with a small form factor. It has Bluetooth and a very very large battery. And it has arrow keys... :)
-
Depending on the mood HHKB and NerD60.
Also Poker is nice but is not really programmable.
-
technically the Matias Mini Quiet Pro and Matias Laptop Pro are both 75%
and the fc660m/c are not really 60% either.
NorrisB should post more information or feedback...
-
HHKB.
FC660C/M if you need arrow keys.
Poker (currently 2, probably 3 soonish) also seems popular.
Sometimes it seems that Poker is the most popular, based on how many new members join who have already got one.
Other times it seems HHKB is the most popular, based on how many people post pictures and stories about them.

i've got both the v60 and mini, in terms of choosing the layout they're pretty much the same, except ducky got the leverage with their mouse function and "software" programming instead of dipswitches that doesnt stay in place.
ducky has blendable leds, and the ability to save 2 of your color schemes, KBP is one at a time, in 7 levels or "breathing".

try this
http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_search.asp?sr=Matias+Keyset&ss=code&vat=false&sit=1&sip=1&sid=1&sim=1&key0=1&lay0=1&rtv=100

or maybe Sprit.
Sprit seems to have gone rogue. I would not order from him.
the pcb itself was designed by BeastMask so instead of sprit you can just order from BM store
I would say HHKB for the topic question, besides, in the MX world it would be Ducky, very solid build, they even have a full alu version with a fairly good price.
-
filco manila is also a solid out of box choice.
-
Its only problem is the keycaps choice, and a pretty weird layout
but it has Bluetooth
-
sorry I forgot about the keycaps. anyways. the op still needs to check back in on his own thread....

Depends on what you want from your keyboard. Without more details, you cannot but expect every 60% keyboard to be listed in the first page of the thread, which you may not find very helpful.
... and just because it has not been listed, I find the Pure Pro to be a rather nice keyboard (60% with macro layer and arrow keys) but its non-standard layout make many people around consider it a terrible keyboard.

I'm amazed no one has sarcastically suggested a Kishsaver yet, so I will be the jerkwad who does it. :p
The best is going to depend on your needs and preferences. Do you want a standard board that's just the alphanumeric/mods section of a full-sized keyboard? Arrow keys(Which isn't actually 60%, but you did say 'ish') Programmable? Backlit? Ortholinear? Bezels? Plastic? Metal? Sexy Korean Custom?
