On December 26th after Xmas I got bronchitis. I had it for the entire month of January until I went to see a dr and they gave me antibiotics.
After the bronchitis was basically done I still had a lingering cough.
basically I coughed so much that I gave myself a headache.
this headache was focused on the right side of the back of my head/neck area.
On February 24th @ 4am I woke up and the headache had switched to the left side of my head/neck and caused a Stroke in my sleep.
More specifically a Vertebral artery dissection
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertebral_artery_dissection
This has caused loss of balance/control over many muscles on the left side of my body. :-\
I can walk pretty well now thanks to the wonderful physicians at Swedish Stroke Clinic's Physical/Occupational Therapy.
I am also retraining my left hand functions (typing helps) and visual impairments (with an eye patch and CS:GO).
I do not have any memory loss or mental side effects from the stroke.
I am still able to maintain the Artisan Services Directory wiki pages as needed, just send me PM's if you need anything modified.
At the moment I can not solder or craft anything because I can not focus my eyes to do it. My hands are also to shaky.
I just wanted to post a status of where I have been the past few weeks and possibly raise awareness of the risk of having a stroke.

I sincerely hope you're well on the path to recovery!
Best wishes to get well soon :)
-
I am taking it day by day but recovering very quickly.

Thanks everyone!
Also..
Eat Rice.. because it's easy on your system, which allows more modules to dedicate themselves to recovery rather than complicated digestion.

Letting your brain repair sucks, that was the hardest part of my recovery.
Hang in there bro, it'll get better. Best wishes. :)

Pretty sure the brain doesn't really repair.. It just scars (wall off) the damaged section and leaves it up to you -n- the therapy-adviser to begin retraining/ remapping of functions (usually into adjacent areas).
That said.. There is a degree of neuroplasticity throughout adulthood.. you are producing SOME (though very few) new cells..

Sorry to hear that domo :(
I bet you can still rek everyone here at counter strike :))
