I found this place following a search for modding gaming keypads--I have a SpaceNavigator 3D mouse I'm using with Star Citizen, and was looking for diy ways to add buttons to my setup. Since then, I've barely scratched the surface on different switch types, keyboards, etc, but there's a whole hidden world of geekiness I never knew existed.
Hawt. :)
Quick question (I did some searching, and didn't see an answer...but that doesn't mean it isn't there): if I wanted to have a split keyboard with easy access without moving my arms a lot, can something like the Goldtouch split keyboard be cut apart at the hinge, adding a longer wire to connect the two halves?
Thanks,
Dvisic
Edit: I really probably should separate this into a greeting and a separate question thread. I'll do so after I get home and am at a proper keyboard (though, reading threads here, I wonder if I actually have one of those...).

Welcome to Geekhack!
An Ergo Dox might be your solution - mechanical, split into two separate parts.
Have a search of GH - there are many threads about the Ergo Dox. Group buys often support the Ergo Dox layout, for customisation. Some GH members can help you to build one, if you don't have sufficient skills and cannot find one already built.
