Can anyone help ID this?
i'm not sure if its an old BS or an Alps board.
Could be a tosser dome though.
Anything helps.

Probably a dome. I don't think there were any BS "clones" other than some off-brand Chinese boards. Do you have any more pics?

that's all I got.
old guy on CL is giving it away, but its a 40 min drive to get it and wanted to verify before I took the trip.
just this pic and "its old and heavy"

Some guys really like the old RDs. I don't know if it's RD or not though.

Very likely a “quietkey” rubber dome. Here’s what the black Alps version looks like:

The earliest Dell rubber domes looked the same as the Alps switch keyboards, e.g.:

Later ones that are the same shape as yours had Windows keys. So I’m guessing your keyboard is from the 1994–1995 timeframe.
Edit: I think yours might be model SK-1000RS http://www.recycledgoods.com/dell-sk-1000rs-ps-2-keyboard-104-key-quiet-key-gyur10sk.html

Silitek made Alps keyboards in that form factor, but I'm only aware of it being in Japanese layout:

Alternatively, a Dell QuietKey with "QuietKey" missing. I had a QuietKey (SK-1000REW I'm guessing) that didn't say "QuietKey" on it.
Simple thing: get a photo of the switches and/or rear label (if he isn't willing to prise off a keycap).
SK-1000RE (QuietKey with no Windows keys) looks the same as the OP's photo — not the curvy shape of the AT101R that jacobolus posted.

ah, thanks guys. I know there are old dell alps boards out there, this one being winkeyless and old made me wonder what it was.

I realize I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but I'm
pretty sure this is a Lexmark made, Dell branded
Model M.
I have one, part number 1397651. I'll post pics once Photobucket
Is back online.

Ok, now that the image in the original post loads, and I'm looking at it on my desktop (instead of my phone), I don't think it is the keyboard I thought it was. Sorry!
By way of comparison, here's mine:
