Title: My new IBM Model M Feb 1988
Post by: Hofy on Thu, 03 September 2009, 17:06:05
The seller I bought my new Cherry ML4100 from posted a NIB Model M ps/2 for $49.99  Buy it now.  They also had make an offer on it.  I figured what the hay and offered $35.  I know it is a bit high for a standard M but new in the box, why not.  A few hours later I got an email saying I had 'won' the auction.
I came home today and found the big heavy box waiting for me.
What can brown destroy for you today?
They managed to dislodge half of the key caps without destroying the box or keyboard.
BTW  after reinstalling the key caps all is well.  Love the action on this unit.

Pictures to follow.

Please post still open auctions only in the eBay forum.  Thought you're offering your own M.

Only iMav can do this.  But given the rather low severity of your offence I guess he won't bother :)
