I just pre-ordered the Matias Ergo Pro keyboard (my first mechanical). I would like to customize its look, a little, maybe with some different color keycaps. Obviously, the keyboard's unique layout will make a number of keys impossible to find alternatives for, but I'm thinking most of the letter and number keys could be replaced with vintage keycaps from vintage Alps keyboards.
Can anyone with this keyboard, or other Matias keyboards, point me in the right direction? I saw that The Keyboard Company sells a white keycap set for other Matias keyboards, and I'm thinking many of those will fit this keyboard.

I recommend getting keycaps from an Apple Extended Keyboard or AEK II, and dyeing them whatever color you like.

Don't the AEKs use a weird profile? So if the AEK caps were intermixed with the stock Matias caps they'd be different heights, no?

It’s roughly (these are old Alps caps; I think the ones Matias uses are a very slightly different profile):

They’re a bit different, but not *too* far apart.

That is really a question for matias as no other manufacturer is likely to have all the molds etc to fit the ergo pro properly.
