I've been using/testing/modding mechanical keyboards/switches/keycaps for 2 months, a short amount of time, yet a busy one
I decided to check how my pre-mech Logitech K800 compares to mechanical keyboards, I've used the same logitech switch/membrane type for 5+ years
Well it felt great, the keys were pretty large, easy to press, I don't like the full-keyboard size, so that was bad, but I really really enjoyed the keypress
The keys are actually pretty similar to Cherry MX Clear's, there is an initial bump, larger than the clear's, then a silent bottom out, very pleasurable (the silent bottom out is obviously not default on cherry's)
Overall only the space key seemed a bit flimsy, the activation feeling is the same, but the key is not as solid as the other keys, might be because the keyboard was used for ~3 years
It was a very enlightening experience for me, I decided to use Cherry MX Clear's from now on with confidence, as I've already been doing a similar thing for years without noticing and enjoying it
