Title: How To Wire Up LEDs
Post by: Davsmith4 on Mon, 23 March 2015, 23:47:33
So for my first custom made mechanical keyboard I would like to make it backlit. The only problem is I dont know the best way to wire them up. For context they keyboard Im making will be a hand wired matrix not a PCB with Cherry switches.

Thanks for the help,

you need a driver circuit.. or a reliable dc source..

they usually have resistors to prevent overcurrent, but it's not absolutely necessary.

I would like to keep the wiring as simple as powerful so is there anyway I can wire it up so its powered by the same usb that connected to the teensy?
