Hello,
For some time now I have been planning and wishing to get my hands on a Leopold FC750R and I have looked at way to many pictures with this keyboard.
Today, with the involuntary help of the user intelli78, I have noticed that Leopold has used different plates / spacebar stabilizer locations on different FC750R keyboards:
this is the image I took from a user's r/mk post from 10 months ago:

There is also this image made almost a year ago, which shows the same stabilizer spacing:

Here's the topic where the above image was posted: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=56442.msg1284601#msg1284601
While asking a question regarding stabilizer spacing on GMK spacebars on the GMK Hyperfuse groupbuy, intelli78 replied that FC750R keyboards have a standard spacing and showed me this image, made by the user The1oneWolf:

As you can see, the spacebar stabilizer spacing is different in the image from The1oneWolf, unlike the other 2 images.
Also, if you look carefully, you can see, through the plate cutout under the spacebar, that even the PCB is different:
On The1oneWolf's keyboard, the name of the keyboard is marked on the PCB:

On the older images the PCB doesn't have these markings:

Could it be that Leopold has made changes between the different batches of the FC750R keyboards?
Also, did they decide to rename the new ones with wider spacebar stabilizer spacing and different PCB, and call it FC750RT instead of FC750R??
What to you think?
Also, do any of you have any contacts at Leopold to ask them this? I know that there are some vendors around here that sell Leopolds, like HendyZone

Man, I'm not going to lie that's confusing. And it's stuff like that that would make me just look at a different brand.

Crossposting from reddit...
Interesting - this does suggest there are multiple versions of the FC750R. I had always thought it was non-standard, until this exchange: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=68693.msg1642882#msg1642882
I figured the other pic must've been an older Leopold outfitted with the new PBT caps, and improperly labeled as a 750r. But you're right, it's straight from GRSimon's post.
Very odd! Maybe the RT designation does denote the difference.

I have an FC750R. After removing the spacebar it shows the "FC750RT" designation mentioned. Currently has GMK Dolch on it with no issues. Leopold finally decide to wiseup?

They say FC750R isn't OSX compatible, I haven't tested it myself or researched the issue further, but I guess it's another reason to stay away

I remember reading on one of the Korean forums that there are two batches/production runs of the 750R.
The original 750R batch with Windows key on the right side, which have the non-standard spacebar spacing (only universal spacebar will fit)
The later/current 750R run (aka 750RT) with standard spacebar spacing and with the Fn key in place of the Window key on the right side.
So yeah, they did listen to customers this time

Just checked mine, standard spacing and it says RT on the back model number too.

Well I just got a FC660M new Korean made and that has standard space bar as well. I thought it was suppose to have the Leopold style spacing?
-
Was going to buy one but i don't know now, wanted to use hyperfuse on it :/, HendyZone said that they have standard spacing, so maybe he has one of the new batches?

I think all the Korean ebay sellers and I know Hendy have the 750RT with the standard stabilizer placement. Widebasket on Ebay has the new RTs as that's where I got mine since Hendy didn't have top facing legends or MX Red and it fits all my sets fine.

Good to know, does widebasket have blacks?

He only has the one style with front facing caps though, so if your fine with that if you plan on using stock caps till you get your hyperfuse that is.

Damn it's like $25 more :/ never thought I'd say that Australian shipping would save me money.
