You said that there less than 10 of these keyboards+keycaps out there. How many of them are known to you as being owned by community members and how much are owned by someone unknown by your estimation?
I have no idea at all. I'm sure there are some undiscovered ones out there. I really don't know how to guess, no idea how many were even made to begin with. Maybe a few dozen?

Well they could have trashed a lot of the boards after they became useless. Banks shred their equipment, including keyboards in case there is precious information stored on any of it.

Yea. I would guess there were a few thousand ever made, not many left. Maybe it's more than a few dozen, but I highly doubt more than a handful of additional boards will ever be found. Any that remain are either in basements/attics, junk piles, landfills, etc.
Edit: When I said a few dozen, was referring to remaining units, not units originally manufactured.

To the best of my knowledge the Dario 286 was just a regular consumer machine.
