Looks like you have done well with bubble control. Are you using vac, pressure, or both?
I have the cap in hand though I might use it for a giveaway so it will eventually be up to them if they want to post it or even do a review of it.

I use a sonicator (Sonic Vibrator) to get rid of the bubbles after mixing the components. I posted them because it is almost easter so these were the coors that matched it the most out of the ones I made. Pastel pink looks really cute though ^_^.

My cast tonight. I was casting in peace carefully loading the resins into the injector when the damn resin started boiling up and curing. It sucks when you ruin your injector because you didn't know that one of the filler compoundsbyou use ends up accelerating cure time from 30 minutes to 2 minutes...
Injector got ruined and I had to rush the process so here are the pics of the partially cured material that was squeezing through.
It is a resin composite which is a mixture of resin and ceramic which I add other fillers into in order to change certain properties. I'm thinking of doing. Soon. I will post the jelly key cap I made which actually has a jelly property but has decent shore hardness although I'm unsure how durable they would be.sounds interested maybe something whoever was having issues making squishy boobie caps would be interested in, unless they figured it out and I just haven't been keeping up!

Those greens are all the same color which is dark green inspired by one of my incoming items. The lighting makes it look different but its because he light shines on the FNs differently.dam you have been busy stacking caps :eek:

For Topre, it's a good way to get stress testing done on the stems as well before entering full production since their durability is one of the last things starting cap makers seem to pay attention to. Read a few instances of people creating a perfectly good-looking Topre cap only to have the stem break on it after a few weeks of use.

Yes an actual hammer smashing test on one of my clears. The test cap is weaker than these since the stem broke off while the resin was still warm when I demolded it so it has literally just the walls to support it.

Apologies for the potatoes, these are not completely finished since they haven't been cleaned yet so there are still flashed edges. I also forgot to clean out the mold completely on the long left shift so there is a diff colored plastic on that key. This should be everything but the enter key and space bar for the mods.

Well I was hoping for something a little more red, but these ended up a very interesting color. They match my Bro pretty well and they seem to fit and operate just fine.
There is always room for improvement but these are a great start!

Something of the purple variety would be amazing. That's one of the only missing UV reactive colors to date.

Colemak is where it's at (seriously, I would convert to it if there were caps for it). I don't mind dvorak, and qwerty is just fine to me. I still hit 100wpm consistently, so I'm not going to complain about qwerty.

I've just given up on finding caps but I touch type so it doesn't bother me. I'm at 50ish on dvorak but I haven't been trying to increase my wpm, I was at about 90 on qwerty but I couldn't touch type.
I'm at around 100 touch typing on qwerty, I can maybe do 60 on dvorak (but I can't touch type on dvorak) and about 125 touch typing colemak. I've been using colemak since before I got into mechs, so that's the only reason that works.

The cap won't be as sturdy if I were to make it without the lines. I actually tried it and the cap ended up bing brittle and feeling quite different. If most people do prefer that they aren't there then I can definitely so that.

The glow is strong but I don't have a tripod to actually attempt to capture it glowing with UV light.
This is probably due to lightning but it looks really blue from there.Same however the screen on my tablet is really off and does not even come close to displaying colors correctly !

GH sale is still on, i ran out of trans urethane and molding materials. I did this to raise $$$ for materials to complete the sale. I spent over $500 on materials this month, i tried a new urathane company and the results were awful, i needed to repurchase a urethane i was used to so i did the skype sale to raise a quick buck. Im not a rich man, and im sorry if you felt slighted by this. But i wanted to do something for the people who have helped me out, while being able to correct my costly mistake.
No worries at all. I really enjoy seeing all the great pictures of the new colors and can't wait to see what you łèdo next once you have your tried and trusted casting materials back. Sucks that you had so much trouble with the new urethane.

I can easily say, it feels exactly how you want a cap to feel, which is just like you never changed it out. The profile is spot on, the texture is amazing, and the thickness, while I would still like it a little thicker, is good enough to keep from having any flex in the key. Once he perfects the molds and the release, these will be a more than suitable replacement for the keys on the HHKB or Realforce. also got a yellow fn/esc set, but i felt the quality of the transparent caps were better than those so that's what i've been testing out the last 36 hours. my thoughts on the caps:
really well-made, especially for someone who has only been casting them for a month or so now. the shift key has a couple bubbles on it, but the smaller keys are basically flawless other than being a little rough around the bottoms (which isn't really visible when you have the caps on). the stems are very sturdy, and the caps "snap" on like your standard rf/hhkb keys, so synjin has gotten through the hard part. for sound, they're slightly more chattery than your standard rf keys, probably from the different material composition, and for feel, they're a little more "plastic-y" than the pbt, but neither are directly noticeable unless you're feeling/listening for it.
for improvements, there aren't really a whole lot necessary other than just cleaning up the final product more. thickening the walls up would be welcome, as it should add some depth to the colors on transparent caps and "improve" the thock sound, and then maybe remove the cross-supports around the stem (though that'll likely cause issues, also not really necessary for solid caps). maybe make the caps not as transparent as well, as right now the slider is very visible in proper lighting (which could be a good thing for some, but mine are purple so i don't want to see them).
i'll probably use the caps for a week or two and then pass them along to someone else who participated in the contest/giveaway, so keep your eyes peeled on here if you're interested in them.

edit - my only additional thoughts after the further use is that the front right corner on the fn is sort of flat(?), so there's a noticeable difference in texture there. everything else is still fantastic on the trans set.
