Title: Storage Room Find - Darwin Keyboard
Post by: inanis on Tue, 31 March 2015, 21:12:44
So I am at work until midnight tonight doing some "on site support" which basically means I'm just sitting here waiting for something to happen. I took the opportunity to poke around the office and I found a Darwin SmartBoard Model# SKR-2233 from 1998 which uses White Alps. Very clicky. I did a quick Google search and found one thread on GH from 2011 and a link to Data Desk, which has one of the worst websites I've ever laid my eyes on, but it looks like they are the "new" Darwin Keyboards. I was wondering if anyone had any further info on the board...it isn't of much use to me as is. I love the switches, but the the whole split layout does nothing for me.

If you google for DataDesk SmartBoard, you can find a bunch more info. If you don’t want that keyboard, I know a few people you could sell it to. :-)

Note these are a type of Alps clone switch. To figure out precisely which switch, see http://deskthority.net/wiki/Four-tab_clone
