Title: Help getting started with gSchem and gEDA.
Post by: Wulfsta on Mon, 06 April 2015, 18:38:00
To preface this, I have no prior experiance designing PCBs. This is also my first post on the forums, so be gentle if I'm in the wrong asking here.

I have designed a layout for a keyboard, and have decided to build a PCB, Plate, and code the firmware. The only thing I cannot do is design the PCB, and, after considering my options, I've decided to use gEDA. Can someone please help me get started with Cherry MX footprints?

Thanks.

You seem set on gEDA, but I would suggest KiCAD as there are a couple tutorials, footprints, and repos for KiCAD on here and DT.
