I recently did a full restoration of my board.  I put together an album on imgur to document the process in full detail.  Please take a look and let me know what you think!

One thing I forgot to mention. The only tricky part is if you are doing this - be careful when removing the PCB/plate assembly from the case.  There is a small ribbon cable connecting the trackpad to the PCB which could easily break.  You have to use a small implement to pop the little white ribbon cable clip off where it connects to the connector on the board. Putting it back on requires three hands  :))
