Title: Hi everyone!
Post by: Jema on Tue, 14 April 2015, 15:25:47
Hey all,
Very new to all this, but I've been browsing the forums for a bit and decided to make a profile. I currently have a  CM Storm QuickFire XT with cherry mx blues and Keycool rainbow keycaps. I've always loved the blue switches but have recently tried a friends Realforce 55gram keyboard. It took some getting used to, but it feels so much sturdier than the mx keys. I have been contemplating investing in one myself and that's how I heard about the site. Looking forward to learning more about them before making the big purchase!

Welcome to Geek Hack! You will find plenty of people here who recommend the Realforce 87U-55.  I just got mine in today, and absolutely love it.  Regardless of what you decide, the forum will sure cost you money in the long run.  It will start slow, but then you are waiting on multiple GMK keysets and deciding on your first custom board.  Glad to have you here.  :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!

No GMK keysets for you if you get the RealForce :p  (They are MX only.)

A 55g uniform RealForce is one of the few keyboards left on my wish list.  If you've tried one already, then you're one step ahead of most people.

Topre can take a little while to get used to, especially if you're coming from something MX or even BS.  Topre does feel different, but once you get used to it it just feels so nice :D
