Title: No-LED keyboard required parts
Post by: SixtyLife on Wed, 15 April 2015, 02:51:12
Hello,

I've never built a keyboard before, but I would like to use Gon's Nerd 60 PCB to build my first one.

I am confused on what electric parts I need and would like confirmation before I make an order.

Out of the electric parts that Gon sells here: http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/11-electric-parts please let me know if I'm correct in assuming the following to build a board without any LEDs:

Need:
1. Diodes(DIP) for every switch

Don't Need:
1. LEDs(SMD)
2. Resistors(SMD)
3. LEDs(DIP)
4. Diodes(SMD)

Are the above assumptions correct? Are the purpose of the diodes(dip) just to get nkro? sorry, big noob...

Thank you!

Yeah that's all you need.  The controller and any components required are already soldered so the resistors are just for the LEDs you don't want.

Enjoy your build :)

Sweet, much appreciated!
