Hi everyone,
My name is Cédric, I'm from Belgium!
I've been using scissor type keyboards for years now (Logitech Ultra X Premium Y-BL49, then the crappy Y-BL49A, then a Cherry eVolution Stream).
I bought my first mechanical keyboard a few weeks ago, it's a Ducky Shine 3 (brown keys, white leds)... and I'm already in love :p
All I regret is not to have bought a mechanical keyboard before !!!
I'm a tinkerer so I'm planning to build my own keyboard, I'm looking for parts right now.

Welcome to Geekhack!
I also came from scissor switches, but an Apple aluminium keyboard in my case, moving to a Ducky Shine with MX blues.
I haven't looked back since, although I did drag the Apple keyboard out when I wanted to do something with Apple specific keys, and it just didn't feel right.
White LEDs are great - they go with almost anything, and you can get plastic things that sit over the LEDs to change the colour.
