Title: cherry mx switch repair
Post by: vandalKing on Fri, 17 April 2015, 05:21:42
hello,
new to the forum, amazed by the geek factor.
so i searched around but could not find a direct answer to my question, so i m taking my shot here.

i bought a second hand relatively cheap razer blackwidow 2013(not ultimate) specifically for the cherry blues. but considering the price some keys lost their click feel. i removed a few keys and made sure that the keyboard has blues.
now i know that to if i want to change the switches i must do some soldering stuff. but there are quite a few in that condition(about 10)
so i read about contact cleaners or greases to help with the switches. is there such a way to make the keyboard feel better? i mean without soldering and buying some switches.

thanks in advance.

You can try and take a straw and spray some deoxit D5 contact cleaner into the switches to try to get the lever moving.
