Hi Geekhackers, Batavier here. Typing on an tired old rubberdome keyboard (at work ). Finally bought a Ducky mechanical keyboard for home use a few weeks ago. Brown switches. Love it, love it, love it. Now I'm looking for a second mechanical keyboard to use at home and use the Ducky at work. Typing on this old Fujitsu thing is really bad, slow and uncomfortable.
I liked the old IBM keyboards a lot (the M, if I'm not mistaken), but they're very hard to find and expensive. Will probably buy a MX Blue switch keyboard. Will let you know.

Welcome. ;D Cherry MX Brown's are the best!!
Model M's aren't to hard to come by, and the are super satisfying to type on, though nothing like browns.

I believe if you look around here, you may find just what you need.
Hold your wallet tight.

Welcome to Geekhack!
I use an SSK at work and one at home - very buckle :) That's the TKL version of the Model M, btw.
If you scour eBay, you will find that they often appear, usually in reasonable condition.
Also look through the classifieds (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=59.0) as they do appear there from time to time.
Finally if you have any computer recyclers or charity shops in your area, you might call in from time to time to see if they have any really old keyboards that otherwise might get thrown out. Those ones often need a good cleaning, but fortunately most Model M keyboards clean up very well.
