Been lurking for years. Used this forum to build one of Soarers controllers for an old WYSE terminal keyboard, that is still putting up a fight. I think some of those glass diodes where fried. Something possessed me to go ahead and register so I could join in the conversation. We are all touch typists right? Good company :) kinda manic today, so.... aside from the buckling-spring, ALPS is the shiznit... :) Love clueless thrift stores and whatnot...

Welcome to Geekhack!

Touch typing is not a requirement, but most of us can do it to some degree.  Some better than others :))

Thrift stores can result in some good finds, although not in my area.  What have you found there?
