Greetings from London!
I got into mechanical keyboards when I was a child and have loved them ever since. I used to own a IBM Model M which was unfortunately thrown away by a couple who did not know the true value of the keyboard. I also used to own a BBC Micro (I quite liked the feel of the keyboard) but that eventually broke down and had to go to the recycling. I currently have a Dell L100 which is my main keyboard. It's a good keyboard but not really the one I would pick from a range of keyboards.
My favorite Cherry switches are Browns and Blues because they just feel comfortable to me. I don't really like Reds a lot because they feel uncomfortable for me but if it was in a situation where I had to pick between Reds and rubber domes, I would definitely pick Reds. I love buckling springs because they were the type that I grew up with and they are really nice for typing.
Anyways, I'll see you all on the forums!

Welcome to Geekhack!
You can find Model M keyboards for sale on certain online auction sites, sometimes for very good prices! Although UK layouts are a bit rarer, nevertheless they do pop up from time to time.
Also keep an eye on classifieds (https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=59.0), if you are thinking of buying another one, that is :)) I have two full size and two SSK - you can't have too many :p

Yeah, I was thinking about making a WTB thread later for the IBM Model M
