How's the LED backlighting options? I know for GONs one, you can only have one option (on/off). Is there a way to get the resistors/diodes soldered?

Would be great if it comes with a plate, even an acrylic one
So it's a plug and play for two different switches for each pcb

Since we're going for the a87u firmware, the lighting options should be what the ps2avrU offers.

If you want it soldered I can help you out. I'm moving to a new place so I've more workspace for keyboards and other stuff also :D

I'll create a form here :)

good suggestion! perhaps we can start another gb for SS kmac plates?

I would surely down for one if there can be a plate which come with it,
unfortunately the place where I live don't have the luxury of such customized plate cut thus don't think I can be any help to organize one :(

Also, if someone can give me the drawing of the plate, I can shop around for quotations.

I'm gonna talk with my favorite chemist before I submit an order, just so I am sure I am getting what he wants when he does the modding for me. He hasn't been on in a few days though. Not backing out on the drop or anything.

Is there an option for none? If not, how much will each option cost?

I'll try and get the plate drawings and pass the cad file to you.

And yes that's my bad for leaving that out. I'll add it in. Sorry for the late response btw.

There is, I'll edit the form accordingly. If you want to get the diodes and resistors it would be an extra $6 pre soldered.

Somebody buy ten so we can hit MOQ pls.

Speaking of which, how close are we to it?  :( Some people are not willing to buy unless they know they can buy a plate beforehand,

I will buy up to three of these PCBs if I know I can get at least one plate for one PCB to try to hit MOQ. There are others that would take one if they knew they can get one as well. The work on my Kmac is on halt for some other reasons right now, but I can't wait around forever with not idea about what's going to happen with this group buy.

Didn't you say you'd take two? You take two, I take three, we're already through 5 of them together. At $44 each, 3 is only like $132, meh, not too bad.

Oh man. He still might have the LE left, but that has anodizing issues.
I feel your pain.

I don't understand why Kmac has to be such limited run. There is demand for it today.

Hi guys

I'm maybe interested in this since I'm looking to build a Winkeyless TKL.  I want a aluminum case with it,  I was wondering if there was some good tkl alu case that retailed? And can I buy winkeyless supported plate somewhere? (a plastic one would be a plus since I gather it's the most silent and some prefer clears pcb mounted so a flexible plate would be the best of both worlds I would imagine)

The OP said that he/she is busy with some stuff right now, especially with Computex around the corner, so there have not been much response.

Hopefully it'll all be done with as soon as it can.

Resistors are for leds right?  so if Im not going to use leds i don't need resistors?  would this pcb fit in a kul case?  or in a tex aluminum case?

Would the PCB fit all versions of the KMAC (1, LE, 1.2, 2, others?)? It's possible, perhaps due to mini USB port placement?

Is this a PCB already designed, or is it possible to incorporate a single PCB design that is usable for both winkey and winkeyless cases?
You guys can also try asking in the questions thread, maybe somebody can help you there. I don't want to give answers when I'm not 100% sure.

yes, resistors are for leds, if you don't plan to use leds, you wouldn't need any resistors at all. most probably this pcb wouldn't fit into a kul or tex case, unfortunately.

Would the PCB fit all versions of the KMAC (1, LE, 1.2, 2, others?)? It's possible, perhaps due to mini USB port placement?

I'm not sure about the other cases but this is meant to fit at least the kmac2.

and like what redskull said, a87u is both winkey and winkeyless.

and guys, sorry for the hiatus.

been busy with my new place, and computex before that.

I'll have my ISP to setup the internet in my place next week so expect more updates here.

till then, see you guys soon!

Howdy.

Came back here to say that I can finally get a schematic. But this late into the game, it might not matter. I'm willing to buy maybe 3-5? PCBs to get the groupbuy through if I can get a new backplate.
OP is MIA.

I've contacted winkeyless re: the PCBs.  I'll have an update soon.

As for the plates:  Later this week, I'll be visiting a shop that does laser and water jet cutting to get some quotes based on the original KMAC2 plate.

Sorry for the sudden absence and not updating things. Life get in the way. Now that I'm back, I'm glad to see that infiniti decides to take over the GB and contact the people who can fabricate the PCBs.

Umm about that.  I was going to take over but delays with the plate drawing now mean I have to beg off since I'll be tied up with business until around April 2016. :(
