So, piracy and illegal downloading is A-ok but spoilers are not.

Our moderation team really likes to go after these relatively, stupid inconsequential and meaningless things instead of doing actual moderation.
Whenever there's a more serious issue, they like to sit back and and do nothing.
At least they're consistent about this ... oh wait not really.
I guess weird kinky threads are okay too like this one (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=66223.0;nowap) and the more amusing one one (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=71069.0)
No Obamacare, politics or other things either those kind of threads are just "trolling" and "not serious" unlike the rest of these.
Threads that actually require mods to step in, nope.
I'm sorry, why did the "paicrai mod" thread get nuked? That thread was comedy gold damnit.
Are those 2-3 threads where the guy took a dump in his keyboard still around?
Even profiles aren't properly regulated.
You can't inconvenience others (give away that they're not actually working at work) by posting obnoxious flashy gifs.

Gifs in sigs are against TOS (I've only noticed one person currently with a gif in their sig that actively posts, I'm assuming that will be dealt with soon). a hitler avi isn't

Mentioning that you watched an episode of a show, no matter how you obtained it does not inherently spoil any plot point for another user. Explicitly stating the death of a character in a thread title for a manga/anime that is behind in the US could spoil the fun for another user. These are not even close to equivalent or valid points.
With regard to your complaint about seemingly selective moderation, I know from experience that it can be difficult to keep up with the massive amount of crap posted to a forum as well as not continually crack down on all threads just because you don't like the direction. If you have issue with the mode of moderation, no one is forcing you to remain active and support the forum.

Oh I don't see anyone wrong with it, but having the name removed is not unreasonable either. A completely different user making a separate thread just to whine about it is petty though.
For sake of argument, imagine tp found the same thread before he knew that character died, that may spoil it for him. It's not wrong of him to write the name in the thread, but it's also not an abuse of power for the moderation team to remove it.
People need to get their panties out of a bunch (not you trizkut).

Spoilers are something the mod team can do something about, piracy isn't. While I didn't and won't see that got thread (because spoilers) wasn't the purpose of that thread to talk about the episodes and not how to get them?
Like get over it, comics are timeless and u have no right to spoil them without warning

Turns out mods actually do have lives and aren't just sitting around waiting for people to break rules. Who knew?
Anyway, to respond to this lengthy accusation of a thread, there was no mention of a means to acquire said episodes. You may recall this thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=61340.0) that has remained unlocked, because it's not supporting or encouraging piracy, but simply mentions it (and heck, it even admits to doing it). Seem familiar?
As for the spoiler thread: sure, the show is old and "if you wanted to see it you would have", but why the hell are you getting mad at someone for taking 10 seconds to prevent the show from being spoiled for someone? It's not like anyone was warned or it was called out as being a travesty; just a simple "hey, let's not spoil that". If TP take such great issue with his thread title being changed, I welcome the accompanying PM to my inbox.
