Are they really dirt cheap if there is no Buy It Now?

Are they really dirt cheap if there is no Buy It Now?
Exactly. Saying "dirt cheap" on an auction often helps produce the opposite effect.
-
Not always, there was that black M13 that was up for $10 auction a couple days ago - its final price was only $56.
-
For auction not to end dirt cheap you always must have two people willing to bid high against each other. The rest of the bidders don’t count.
That will never happen with Topres, beam springs or rare model Fs. You will always get two high bidders.
For these more common Model Fs, it will depend on your luck whether there is another bidder as aggressive as you. I always recommend being patient and bidding a reasonable but low amount. After all, chances are that you won’t be using this F right away but awaiting further results and group buys for the Xtant project. By trying (not too desperately) to buy any F now you avoid a mad rush the next time Wcass announces a group buy for Model F TKL.

If only this has a Buy it Now...
9d left too. Added to the watch list, this will be fun.
