Title: Any sticker album collectors in here? Am I a weirdo?

I must confess--I used to collect stickers throughout the late 70s and early 80s--and I have the albums to prove it. They're full of, well, you know, Smurfs, E.T., rainbows, unicorns, holograms, smellies and puffies, you name it--all of the iconic staples of the era. :cool:

Anyone else want to come forward and give testimony? Some of you middle-aged members might have been into this sweet hobby or at least had siblings or friends that were into it.

I demand pics.  I never collected stickers, other than the stickers that came in packs of trading cards (Star Wars, Wacky Packages, etc.).  The only time I got other kinds of stickers was when teachers handed them out.  I remember puffy stickers being the Cadillac of stickers when I was a kid, although scratch and sniff were also coveted.

I was always told sticker were for girls..

They didn't let me collect stickers

The manly form of stickers is stamps.

Tp4 has stamps.

 :eek: WHA???....Stickers can be oh so very manly! Why, just look at the gross depictions of child dismemberment of GPKs, the unabashed crudeness of Wacky Packages, scratch-n-sniff gym socks!

I also went through a stamp collecting phase, coin phase, Star Wars toys, Pac-Man. Those days are over. The stuff just sits around collecting dust and taking up too much space.

Ah scratch and sniff. I wonder why certain technologies die out and some take off. BTW I have a toy chest from the 90's with stickers on it I refuse to get rid of. Does that make me a collector? Even some from the real Batman movie by Tim Burton ;)

I used to have a huge box full of band stickers! Loved them. I was on a ton of street teams too!

To this day, I have a shoe box FILLED with stickers. When I was a kid I was all about stickers. The issue was I never wanted to put them on things. I always felt that if I put them on something, I would lose that sticker.

To me stickers were forever but the objects I put them on were not.

Totally reasonable right? RIGHT??!?

Giant matte glass screen protectors for computer monitors.. 

Just like the ones they have for cellpho but matte and big.

I got that HAWAII 85 in Hawaii of.......'85  :blank: It's so cool that I never wanted to use it for fear of wasting it. Plus it was a souvenir of sorts. Back then I also collected post cards of the exotic locales that I visited....like Hawaii :P
